Currently a college student, Chris has been a vital volunteer with the Maryben Foundation, dedicating countless hours to our various programs and initiatives. His journey with us began three years ago when he attended one of our mental health awareness workshops. Moved by the stories he heard and the impact he witnessed, Chris decided he wanted to be part of this transformative mission.
From that day forward, Chris immersed himself in every opportunity to support the foundation's cause. Whether it’s coordinating mental health group therapies, assisting with community development projects, or supporting young single mothers in our empowerment programs, Chris's contributions have been nothing short of remarkable.
One of Chris's most significant achievements was organizing a large-scale mental health conference in his college. Understanding the importance of mental well-being among his peers, he took the initiative to bring experts, counselors, and students together for a day of learning, sharing, and healing. The event was a massive success, reaching over 500 attendees and fostering a supportive community that continues to thrive.
Chris’s dedication extends beyond logistics and coordination. He has a unique ability to connect with individuals on a personal level, offering a listening ear and genuine empathy to those in need. His volunteer work is not just about fulfilling duties; it’s about making a difference in the lives of others.
Despite his busy academic schedule, Chris remains deeply involved in our projects, demonstrating exceptional time management and a heart full of passion. His story is one of inspiration, reminding us all of the impact that one determined individual can have on their community.
